Roxane was spotted on the Gossip Girl set again yesterday, July 13th, this time apparently shooting a scene with her on-screen brother Prince Louis (Hugo Becker.) There are a few snaps of her in what looks like her own street style, and I have to say I actually like that outfit better! Big thank you again to the great Gossip Girl site YouKnowYouLoveMe.org.

Roxane is in the latest issue of BE magazine, where she talks about Gossip Girl, her character (“very mean”), the show, her admiration for Leighton, and how she had some input into what her character will wear. As a Blair girl myself, I’m glad she is too! If anyone has scans of the magazine itself, it’d be great if you could donate.

“Mon personnage préféré, c’est Blair. En outre, je trouve Leighton Meester incroyable”, confie Roxane dans les pages du magazine Be, en kiosques, où elle livre ses impressions sur cette nouvelle aventure. Et de continuer : “Je n’ai pas passé d’essais. Ils connaissent mon travail, ils m’avaient vue dans Kaboom. J’étais très heureuse quand ils m’ont recontactée, deux semaines plus tard, pour me dire que j’avais le rôle.”

Roxane Mesquida joue le rôle de la princesse de Monaco, soeur de Louis, le beau prince fiancé à la redoutable Blair, et selon ses dires, le “personnage est très méchant”.

As I’d hoped, Roxane was present for the first week of filming Gossip Girl season 5 — and with plenty of photos as proof! She was photographed on set alongside the lovely Leighton Meester (Blair.) Gossip Girl’s season 5 begins filming this week in New York. It sounds like Roxane’s character arc will be the first few episodes, or at least earlier in the season, so hopefully this means we might catch a glimpse of her on set soon!

Good news, Upper East Siders! The fifth season of Gossip Girl is scheduled to begin shooting in New York City next week!

Signs have been spotted in the Upper West Side heralding the shooting schedules, which start on July 6. According to those signs, filming will occur between Central Park West and Columbus on 77th.

Haute Couture week is also this week in Paris, so I’m hoping we may see her there as well. The past four years, she’s gone to at least one show during the summer couture shows!

Gossip Girl Exclusive: Meet Blair’s New Nemesis

A new pot-stirrer is headed to the Upper East Side, and she’s threatening to derail Blair Waldorf’s big fat royal wedding.

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that French actress/model Roxane Mesquida (Kaboom) is joining the cast of Gossip Girl as the meddling sister of Blair’s fiancée, Prince Louis.

Little else is known about Mesquida’s princess character, save for that fact that she is not happy about her brother’s impending union and is hell-bent on sabotaging it. Oh, and the role is recurring, so she’ll be around long enough to do some damage.

Gossip Girl‘s fifth season — its first without Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr — is slated to launch on Monday, Sept. 26 at 8/7c.

She follows compatriot Clémence Poésy to be the 2nd French actress to appear on Gossip Girl, though for others who watch the show, it sounds like her part will be more along the line of Juliet Sharp (who was a lot of fun) instead of Clemence’s Eva (who was a poorly-written prop.) I have mixed feelings about this one, but one thing is for sure — she’ll definitely gain some new fans! What do you think, visitors?
