Roxane in Grazia

Roxane is in Grazia Magazine — presumably the French version! I don’t have scans yet, but here is a blurb about her feature. She talks about her move to Los Angeles, the book she is writing with her mother, among other things.

Dans la série Gossip Girl, on demande la nouvelle frenchy ! Roxane Mesquida, la brune sexy qui joue le rôle de la soeur du Prince de Blair Waldorf dans la saison 5, raconte son rêve américain.

Eh oui, la jeune artiste sort déjà ses mémoires ! Le livre, co-écrit avec sa maman, s’intitulera Mémoires de Foetus et retracera sa jeune existence… C’est dans Grazia que l’actrice raconte son départ de France pour réussir sa carrière à Los Angeles et elle n’est apparemment pas prête de revenir dans l’Hexagone :”Dès que je suis arrivée aux Etats-Unis, cela a été simple. Catherine Breillat est estimée ici, dans le milieu des indépendants. J’ai tout de suite eu un agent, des propositions [...]Ca a été dur de couper le cordon et pourtant, je suis partie de chez moi à 19 ans et aujourd’hui, j’habite Los Angeles, en plein cœur d’Hollywood, dans l’appartement où Charlie Chaplin a vécu à ses débuts”.

Rien que ça ! Eh bien on lui souhaite autant de succès que l’homme au chapeau, mais apparemment, elle n’a pas eu besoin d’attendre notre soutien !

New Gallery Layout

You may have noticed the gallery changing looks a lot recently. I wanted something special that I felt matched the front page of the site in anticipation for new fans and visitors from Gossip Girl, and it took me a while to settle on something, then along came that great Paris Match shoot! Hillie created the new design for us. I hope you all like it!

New Site Section – Personal Style

I had some time tonight so I put together a small project for the site: a section dedicated to Roxane’s personal style. One of the things I admire about her is the fact she doesn’t hire a stylist, so I thought it deserved a bit of recognition! Are any of your favorite looks of Roxane’s missing? New Layout!

After having the old layout up for over a year, Roxane Mesquida Online has undergone a redesign. Thank you so much to Hilary for the new layouts for both the main pages and gallery! I love them — hopefully you will too.

Some other updates will be coming soon as time allows, but along with the layout update I also updated Roxane’s biography page. Nothing major, but there are a few pieces of trivia and some quotes you might find interesting. Thanks as always for visiting! I hope you continue to enjoy the site.

Today is October 1st, which also means it’s Roxane’s birthday! She turns 29 today! All the best to Roxane on her special day. I hope it’s a good one! Roxane Mesquida Online is also approaching its birthday — on October 6th, the site will be one year old.

For visitors to look forward to, she’s made a couple recent public appearances, which I’ll add pictures of as soon as I’m back on my home computer in a few days. In the meantime, feel free to leave any birthday greetings for Roxane in the comments here! It’s very unlikely she’ll see them, but you never know.
