A preview for season 5, episode 2 of Gossip Girl has been released and very briefly features Roxane! Watch below to get your first look at her character Béatrice in action. The episode airs Monday.

After the launch of the perfume Pop Collection creative director Ennio Capasa, in collaboration with Costume National, revives the art of Andy Warhol.

“I find the montage too tiring… I let the camera run so I can look at people as they really are.”

Each one lasted around three minutes. Andy Warhol positioned the different people passing through his Factory against a black background, told them not to move and to keep looking in the same direction, and them left them in front of the camera. These were his screen tests, creations which are mini-films or portraits.

This technique inspired the French director Bertrand Le Pluard, who has created 10 screen tests to celebrate Ennio Capasa’s Pop Collection and the special event Vogue Fashion’s Night Out.

To stay as close as possible to Andy Warhol, the director used film for the screen tests, giving them a timeless dimension – when you watch them, it’s impossible to tell when they were taken.

The films feature ten unconnected people brought together by their shared passion for art and Costume National: Roxane Mesquida (an actress), Alizé Meurisse (a writer and artist), the band Our Mountain, Andy Bradin (an artist), Tamara Kaboutchek (an emerging singer), Cyril Duval (a pop artist), Jeanne Damas (a young fashion blogger), the band Mother Feather, Kira Lillie (a jewellery designer) and Mae Lapres (an emerging icon).

Also, the Gossip Girl season premiere is just over two weeks away now! Some promotional photos and a video have been released, but sadly none feature Roxane’s character Princess Béatrice yet. Episode captures may be a few days late, as I have school and work to contend with, plus it’ll take a little longer to find a high-quality version of the episode, but I’ll try to get them up quickly.

I found a great little video of Roxane at her L.A. hotel being interviewed by Philippe Besson as part of TV special “Los Angeles Dernière.” It’s fun to see her at home rather than your standard ‘tell me about your latest role..’ TV interview. After a long wait, “Rubber” has finally been released on DVD! It’s available in France right now, but will be released soon in the UK and it’s also available On-Demand in the US. I’ve added high-quality screencaps to the gallery, which you can see below. Roxane isn’t featured that often, but she looks lovely in it.

Worth noting is that the soundtrack (collaborated between director Quentin Dupieux/Mr. Oizo and Justice’s Gaspard Augé) is also available to buy on iTunes — in a year of movies where electronic soundtracks have had a lot of success, I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten much buzz. Tracks like “Tricycle Express” are more like what I expected to hear (and didn’t) when it was announced Daft Punk would be scoring a film.

Clothing brand Opening Ceremony put together a promotional short film for their spring collections called “All Ideas Are True,” starring Roxane. Thank you to Violette for the heads up about this! Watch below and see captures.

OCTV is super excited to present its latest video, ‘All Ideas Are True,’ directed by filmmaker Lisa Rovner. Starring the luminiscent French actress Roxane Mesquida wearing Opening Ceremony spring collections, the film exults the classic transformative effects of the Wonder Woman television series in a magical way. In part inspired by Dara Birnbaum’s art video, “Technology/Transformation: Wonder Woman,” Rovner’s film follows Mesquida on a metaphysical romp through a dreamland Paris. Styled by Benjamin Sturgill, produced by Swisskiss, with sound bites by Icelandic musician Kria Brekken, no film is made without a little help from our friends.

Gregg Araki’s “Kaboom” finally has a trailer for its American release. I personally prefer the original that came out to promote in France, but this one features some of the film’s actual soundtrack — you can view the tracklist on Gregg’s Facebook page. Watch below! I’ve also made screencaptures of Roxane’s brief apperances in both the French and American trailers.

“Kaboom” was also recently at the Sundance Film Festival, though Roxane unfortunately was not there to promote with her cast mates. To coincide with the Sundance premiere, the American distributor IFC made it available for viewing on Comcast On Demand. If you don’t have On Demand and have yet to see “Kaboom,” you can either check out this list of screenings in American cities, or wait for the French DVD release, which is March 1st! It’s available both on Blu-Ray and regular DVD. I’ve pre-ordered my copy, so screencaptures shouldn’t be too long to follow once I get it.

Here’s a small gem I missed during Cannes itself! Empire Magazine interviewed some of the cast of “Kaboom,” including Roxane, and it’s the first English-language interview of her I’ve ever seen on video!
