According to the site LeMatin.ch, the Swiss branch of Constantin Film is putting 3.4 million francs into Roxane’s 2008 film “Sennentuntschi” to take care of some of the film’s outstanding debts. I’m unsure exactly how good this news is for eventual release, but we’ll see!

For a holiday surprise, Roxane Mesquida Online has beautiful new layouts for both the main page and gallery! Both were designed by Hilary. I hope you all love them as much as I do!

A huge thank you to Geraldine for this! We now have in the gallery a scan of Roxane’s page in a 2007 edition of the fashion magazine Self Service. She was featured in a section on French star style alongside compatriots Clémence Poésy, Ludivine Sagnier, Laura Smet, Mélanie Laurent, and Sara Forestier. I’ve been looking for proper scans of this magazine ever since I first heard of the feature when the issue first came out, so I’m very pleased to have this!

Finally a new appearance! Roxane was spotted (along with her mother!) at the launch party for Roland Mouret’s Rainbow Collection for luxury retail site net-a-porter.com yesterday, December 10th, in LA. She was also sporting a dramatic new hair style — the color is darker than ever and she’s cut bangs! I’ve added 7 new pictures to the gallery, and will hopefully add more if I can find them. In the meantime, what do you think of the new hair style?

Since Roxane hasn’t been seen out in a while, I’ve added a few pictures from an older appearance that previously wasn’t in the gallery. The event is the premiere of one-man show “Cartouche, Les femmes sont des hommes comme les autres” April 3rd, 2009, at La Cigalle in Paris. Roxane looks cute in her casual wear. Enjoy!

Even though director Gregg Araki is a regular of the Sundance Film Festival, and even though it made a couple Sundance prediction lists, “Kaboom” is sadly not part of the 2010 festival line-up. Both lists of films in competition and films screening out-of-competition have been released.

First of all, Roxane’s character in “Kaboom” finally has a name! It’s Lorelei. Secondly, here’s our second glimpse at Roxane in character! Thank you to her Facebook Fan Page for the image. I’m hoping for at least a teaser trailer in the next couple months, particularly if the film does manage to sneak into Sundance.

Roxane has already started and wrapped filming for a new project! The film is called “Rubber”, directed by Quentin Dupieux, AKA French electro house act Mr. Oizo. No word on a full synopsis, but what I’ve gathered from a bit of digging is that Roxane is the co-lead alongside Stephen Spinella, and the plot is a comedy-horror centered around a vengeful living tire (yes, the type that goes on cars!). It shot in California and has now entered post-production, during which the enormously popular band Justice will be helping compose the soundtrack. More news as it comes! If you want it faster, keep an eye on Oizo’s Twitter page. Release is scheduled for some time in 2010.
